Mole National Park is the strongest wildlife anchor in Ghana's domestic tourism circuit. The early and late safari slots are the ones to protect in your schedule, especially if elephants, antelope, baboons, and birding are the main reason for the trip.
Damongo and Larabanga make the area more than a park stay. Many visitors add Larabanga Mosque or the Mystery Stone, and then return to the lodge for dinner rather than trying to compress the route into a single day from Tamale.
