How to search, filter, and compare listings
Use filters, saved searches, and compare tools to make a cleaner shortlist.
A good search starts broad, then narrows. Do not begin with every filter switched on. Start with the basics: rent or sale, neighbourhood, budget, bedrooms, and move-in timing.
Start with the main search
Use Rent search for rental homes and Buy search for properties for sale. Check the cards carefully for price, location, verified status, advance months, and media quality.
Add filters in this order
- Budget. Set a realistic ceiling first.
- Bedrooms and bathrooms. Keep one fallback option open if stock is thin.
- Neighbourhood. Use a wider area if you are still learning the market.
- Verified listings. Prioritise verified stock when you are close to payment.
- Amenities. Add parking, backup power, furnished, gated community, or pet-friendly only when those are truly required.
Compare before contacting
Use Compare listings to review price, location, advance months, beds, baths, area, media, and verified status side by side. A comparison table often shows which option is genuinely better, not just which one has nicer photos.
Save searches
If the right property is not available today, save the search. Habivista can surface matching stock when new listings arrive.
Contact agents with a clear message
When you contact an agent, include your target move date, budget, preferred viewing window, and whether you need a live video viewing. Clear messages get faster responses.
